Hereby some pictures of Estrella. She is the perfect dog for us. We are so happy with her!


On the way back home from the airport our male whippet, Senna, snapped a bit at Estrella when she entered the car, so we took him in front. Between Estrella and Isis, the podenca canario, everything went well in the back of the car, and they were sleeping next to each other the whole three hour journey back home.

Estrella is a sweet and good natured dog, well behaving both to people and to other dogs. She is so calm when meeting strangers, that even people that seem to be scared of dogs greet and pet her. Everybody seems to like her and a lot of people find her very beautiful and ask us which breed she is.

She hasn't peed in the house at all. She does not show any food aggression. She shows a bit of territorial aggression when either of the other dogs passes her bed to drink some water. She barks or growls at them, even when they are not very close but I'm convinced this will change in time.

She whined a bit on the first day when we went upstairs to the living room and we had to carry her upstairs. On the second day she dared to climb the stairs by herself and on the fourth day in our house she also went downstairs by herself. As you can see in the picture, she is a bit nervous when going down.

Today we went for a walk in the dunes of Katwijk aan Zee at the coast. There are a lot of rabbits there. At first we thought that, compared to our Canario, Estrella was not really interested in this but after half an hour she started running back and forth and pulling on the leash.

Estrella is very interested in people and in new dogs. She is a very friendly dog, wagging her tail all the time when meeting new people, kids or dogs.


In all, it is a joy to walk with this beautiful, nice, well behaved, lovely dog!
